Dezède is based on authority record tables of individuals, ensembles, works, places, roles, instruments and occupations. The tables are presented in files searchable by index menu, search engine, filter, events, sources or dossiers. Each authority record can be integrated in a set of recursive data (dynasties of musicians, adaptations and revisions of works, linking of places to territories and venues to institutions, etc.) The authority records are subject to a permanent control under the scientific responsibility of Joann Élart. Currently, the database contains 35,328 works, 26,032 individuals and 11,098 places.

Supplemented daily by research fellows and students, this bibliography has its roots in earlier projects.

A first import enabled the integration of the indexes of individuals and works present in the work of Joann Élart, entitled Catalogue des fonds musicaux conservés en Haute-Normandie. Tome I: Bibliothèque municipale de Rouen. Volume 1: Fonds du Théâtre des Arts (xviiith e xixe siècles), ser. Patrimoine musical régional (Rouen, Presses universitaires de Rouen et du Havre, 2004, 538 p.) Primarily drawn from the repertoire of the Opéra Comique, this data was linked to that collated in two projects financed by the GRR of Haute-Normandie and placed under the direction of Joann Élart. The first project was conferred to Anne Touverey, doctoral candidate in musicology at the Université de Rouen Normandie. She created the authorities from the Castil-Blaze index Histoire de l’opéra-comique, ed. Alexandre Dratwicki and Patrick Taïeb (Lyon, Symétrie, 2012, 352 p.); the second project was conferred to Claire Malandin, student in musicology at the Université de Rouen Normandie. She established a set of new authority records for the comic, tragic and vaudeville genres.

The second import concerned a data set relating to concert repertoire. Produced as part of the research project on concert history led by Patrick Taïeb and Hervé Lacombe ('Répertoire des programmes de concerts en France'), the set comprises two parts: Parisian concerts from the Revolution to the Empire, under the scientific direction of Étienne Jardin and Patrick Taïeb; the Concerts populaires de musique classique (concerts Pasdeloup) completed by Yannick Simon. Étienne Jardin integrated these two groups of data into Dezède between 2009 and 2010. The process was the subject of a meeting between the Université de Rouen Normandie and the two other partners who supported its delivery, the Palazzetto Bru Zane and Symétrie Editions.

The third import in 2014 allowed for the deposit of data made available by the AFO as part of an agreement signed with the Université de Rouen Normandie. Provided by the orchestral members of this association, the data was corrected, completed and reread by Claire Morvannou, Julie Graine, Joann Élart and Yannick Simon. This first project coordinated by Florent Girard, General Secretary of the AFO, represents the complete processing of the 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons for all these orchestras.

The fourth import represents the deposit of the Opéra Comique archives, digitised from the collections of the Archives Nationales de France and the Opéra Comique, as part of a signed agreement with the Université de Rouen Normandie. The collections are available in a dossier opened on 13 November 2014 and contain 2200 documents, including approximately 25000 images.

The authority records are produced or verified from one or several bibliographical tools mentioned below. All references to sources or different works are recorded directly in the private notes of the data in question.
